Health Policy & Management Alumni Association (HPMAA) at UCLA
Dear UCLA Health Policy and Management Alumni Association Supporter,
While these are challenging times, the Health Policy and Management Alumni Association (HPMAA) has many reasons to give thanks. At the top of our list is you.
I wanted to personally thank you on behalf of the board for your continued support of HPMAA. Despite our inability to gather in person to honor awardees and celebrate the Class of 2020, you graciously stepped up and pledged your continued support for our cause. For that, we will be forever grateful.
Because of you, HPMAA continues to fulfill our mission to support HPM students and alumni. As in years past, HPMAA will offer scholarships for two incoming HPM students in Fall 2020. HPMAA will also continue to support student programs by hosting events that allow them to develop their professional acumen and grow their networks so that they can quickly contribute to the field of public health upon graduation.
And while much remains unknown about the future, we look forward to planning the celebration of our 2021 Leader of Today honoree Dr. David Carlisle, our Ira Alpert Service awardee Lara Khouri, and our Leaders of Tomorrow – Health Policy & Management program graduates. Please save the date on your calendar for Wednesday, May 5, 2021, and anticipate updates regarding the dinner status.
We wish you well in your efforts to combat this pandemic and are confident that together we will all pull through it as a stronger and wiser public health community. In the meantime, be safe and stay well.
And as always, thank you for your continued support.
Chandra Broadwater, MPH
FSPH HPMAA President
